I’m glad you’ve found our website! And it’s my hope that this will be the first step in this chapter of your life’s journey–the chapter entitled, “Blessed to Find a Church Home!” I say this because I am totally convinced that you will be blessed as you get involved with Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church. We are a healthy mixture of cultures, ethnicities, and political preferences–and we heartily welcome ANYONE who wishes to worship our Creator. So, if you’re a little bit doubtful about your “acceptability” in a church, get on over here! You’ll be warmly welcomed, and you’ll hear a sermon that is Biblically informed, you’ll have opportunities for involvement, and you’ll be a blessing to the rest of us. Imagine that!

We are currently accepting new voices to add to our joyous song! There is no experience necessary. We rehearse at 6:30pm on Wednesday and 9:30 am on Sunday mornings.
We are responsible for providing help and assistance to members of our parish and others in need. We administer funds to help, and we provide pastoral care to the members of our individual parishes that we are responsible for. We also maintain the prayer list.
“Many hands make quick work”. Join a church Ministry Team and help lighten the load this year. There is a Ministry Team to fit every personality. Find your niche:
Outreach– We are the hospitality side of the church geared towards community outreach. We evangelize through relationships. This is where we coordinate activities outside of the church to increase awareness of our congregation. We are in the process of organizing a Cub Scout pack as an outreach to families in our area.
Christian Education – We provide Christian education classes for children, youth, and adults in the church. We recruit teachers, select curriculum and provide opportunities for extended learning for all in the church.
Stewardship – We organize and conduct the pledge drives to forward the maintenance and growth of the church.
Mission – We organize local mission projects during the year such as the ongoing food collections for The Community Food Pantry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, clothing and toiletry collections for Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet, school supplies and angel tree gift cards for local school children, meals for the Veterans House in Reno, and participation in The Church Has Left The Building. The congregation also participates in several special offerings through PC(USA), including the Souper Bowl of Caring and The Peace and Global Witness Offering which benefit people across the nation and world.
Worship – We create a common space to glorify God, by ensuring a meaningful worship experience. Whether it’s selecting music, or supporting the Pastor, we are ready to help.
Fellowship – We coordinate the social events of the church. Something special is planned for every month such as luncheons, field trips, or evening programs. We are a busy and fun committee!
Facility– If it’s broke we fix it!
Administration/Personnel – We are responsible for the financial development of the budget and the overall operation of the administration facility, the office and its equipment.
