Mission Ministry Team
We organize local mission projects during the year such as the ongoing food collections for The Community Food Pantry, clothing and toiletry collections for Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet, and collection of school supplies and angel tree gift cards for local school children. Interfaith Event–Compassion for Humanity
Interfaith Compassion for Humanity in Reno–There will be an interfaith opportunity to bring relief to unhoused people in Reno. Three area congregations—Silver Sage Foundation, Reno First United Methodist Church and Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church have organized the event for Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Reno. Quilt Raffle
The Fellowship Team is selling raffle tickets for a lovely quilt crafted by one of our members. The proceeds will benefit the Mortgage Pay-Down effort. Tickets will be sold at $1.00 for one, or $5.00 for six tickets. The drawing will be held following worship on January 7, 2024.
