Calling All Quilters, Knitters and Crocheters!

The SSPC Deacons would like to continue the tradition of distributing quilts, lap blankets, shoulder shawls to those in need. In order to be able to continue with this tradition, new quilts or crocheted or knitted lap blankets & shoulder shawls need to be made. This will be an on-going project throughout the year. At the end of the year, any quilts/lap blankets/shawls, that have been made, will be distributed to those in the congregation who might have a need…

Time to Retire

Well, my SSPC family, it is getting to be time for me to retire. I turn 69 in August, and, while some pastors stay “in the harness” well into their later years, I am certain that this is the right time for me. Your generosity in giving me an extra two weeks of vacation every year has made it possible to spend more time with our grandkids—thus enabling me to postpone retirement for a few years.
