Interfaith Compassion for Humanity in Reno–There will be an interfaith opportunity to bring relief to unhoused people in Reno. Three area congregations—Silver Sage Foundation, Reno First United Methodist Church and Spanish Springs Presbyterian Church have organized the event for Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Reno. There will be a tea room with delightful baked goods and Turkish tea and coffee for sale. Participants are asked to bring a package of diapers for the Women and Children’s Center of the Sierra. Reno First United Methodist Church is located 201 1st Street, overlooking the Truckee River, in Reno. There will be an opportunity to pack boxes of supplies for unhoused people served by Reno Sparks Gospel Mission Inc.
